Crabgrass LLC, a wholesale cannabis grower, is holding a public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. The session will be held at Crabgrass’s new space at 830-894 Main St.

Owners will outline plans for the wholesale retailer and answer people’s questions, said managing owner Lynne McCarren. Brian McCarren is also a co-owner.

The Tuesday hearing will be the second such info session Crabgrass has planned in Clinton. In 2019, the weed grower had plans to open at 56 Sterling St. That plan does not appear to have come to fruition.

This is also the second time someone has tried to legally grow marijuana at 843 Main St. in Clinton. Emerald City Growers had applied to move there in 2019, but the then-recent discovery of an illegal pot-growing operation at the site put Select Board members off and tanked approval.

According to the Cannabis Control Commission, Crabgrass has submitted its full cultivation application.

While Emerald and Crabgrass have filed applications, KRD Growers and Tyca Green, Inc., have both received provisional approval to open marijuana retailers, manufacturers, and cultivators in town. Liberty Compassion has been given preliminary approval for cultivation and manufacturing in Clinton.
